A LETTER FROM THE CEO OF THE PULASKI YMCA

For over seventy-five years, the YMCA has been a place where families connect, kids find their confidence, and our whole community comes together.

Today, I invite you to be part of something truly special – our Fall Giving Campaign: Fueling Strength, Spirit, and Connection.  This effort is more than a fundraiser; it’s a promise to our future.  Your support is vital to ensure that the YMCA of Pulaski County not only endures for the next 75 years but continues to be a cornerstone of community, wellness, and belonging for generations to come.

As a non-profit association, the YMCA is unable to financially sustain all its operations with member fees and subsidies and grants alone.  Therefore, we rely on generous folks like you, who share our values, to fill the financial gaps.

Help us continue to fund programs such as:

  • Free swim safety lessons for every second-grade student in Pulaski County, ensuring all children learn vital water skills – at no cost to their families.
  • Bridging the Gap Scholarships which ensure that financial hardship never stands between anyone and the opportunity to be part of the YMCA family.
  • Programs for Senior Adults that provide a welcoming space to connect, stay active, and build meaningful community.
  • Our Y-Excel Afterschool and Little Learners Academy, both of which provide a safe and supportive environment for Pulaski County’s youngest and most precious citizens.

Click here to make your gift online, or mail a check to the YMCA of Pulaski County, 615 Oakhurst Avenue, Pulaski, VA 24301.

Together, we can ensure the Y continues to be a source of support and belonging – then, now and always!

Sign up today for Y-Excel Afterschool

School is in session and we’ve got you covered for afterschool care!  Y-Excel is an onsite licensed facility operated by the Pulaski YMCA at the Dublin, Pulaski, Riverlawn and Snowville Elementary Schools*.  Your child is released from their classroom directly into our care where they will remain until you pick them up at the school.  We prioritize learning and creative play by offering refreshing activities and alternative to screen time.  We also work with the children each day to help them with their homework, make-up work or tutoring.  Nutritious, well-balanced meals and/or snacks are provided.  Our hours are from school dismissal until 6:00 PM.
